Wildlife Attacks
We don't want to create hysteria or false fears. But the fact remains
that animal attacks do occur (particularly in Africa) and pose a significant
threat to human health and safety when they do occur.
- Black Bears
- Canada Geese
- Grizzley Bears
- Cougars (AKA Mountain Lions)
- Coyotes
- Deer
- Feral hogs
- Elk
- Moose
- Moose attacks usually occur during mating season (falll) and
rearing of young (summer). Males (bull moose) are most
aggressive during mating season where your presence might be
interpreted as competition for females. Females attack
during the raising of young out of concern to protect their
off-spring.
- Various attacks have been filmed and can be found on
Youtube.
